| In 1983, Jacques de Reuck began importing
and selling metal spray supplies in New Zealand. Initially
working from home, Jacques soon discovered he had a natural
flair for business and this combined with his enthusiasm
for metal spray technology and easy-going charisma quickly
developed a loyal customer base and steadily increasing
turnover. His native fluency in French helped to secure
contracts from throughout French Polynesia and now, after
twenty five years, Metal Spray Suppliers (NZ) Ltd operates
from a purpose-designed facility in Auckland, employing
four other staff members distributing metal spray products
throughout New Zealand and the world. |

| MSS (NZ) Ltd is responsible for selling
the first HVOF in Australasia and the first HVAF
in the world. MSS is the only New Zealand company
totally dedicated to the thermal spray industry. |

 Over
the intervening twenty five years, Jacques’
passion for the metal spray industry has never waned:
"My interest in metal spraying came about after
years of struggling to control rust on my 24 foot steel
sloop. To begin with I saw the technology simply as
a very effective method to prevent corrosion and while
anti-corrosion is still by far the biggest application
for metal spray I have been constantly amazed at the
variety of engineering problems which can be solved
with the appropriate coatings - ranging from reclaiming
worn parts off vintage tractors to applying metal spray
coatings to jet engines."

| Jacques’ philosophy has always been to maintain
an active interest in the specific applications his customers
are dealing with and now after 25 years his experience
and knowledge are extensive and much sort after. |

MSS (NZ) Ltd also enjoys a strong working relationship
with Metallisation in the UK and the Department of Chemical
and Materials Engineering at the University of Auckland.
Jacques regularly attends national and international
conferences on metal spraying or corrosion topics and
has presented many papers to the industry on the work
he has been involved in.
