Paper Mill - Winder Roller
 Introduction:
The winder roller in a paper mill drives the paper. The
surface texture of the roller is critical. A smooth surface
will not drive the paper and a rough surface will mark it.
Problem: Creating a specific even surface profile.
Solution: After cleaning the rollers with trichloreathane,
they are vaccuum grit blasted using G20 Alumina Oxide grit.
The rollers are then metallised with a tungsten carbide or
molybdenum coating to a thickness of 0.15mm. Turnaround time
- two days.
